HPP Manager, NC Office of EMS

Kimberly started her career with Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in 2002 and joined the NC Office of EMS in June 2018 to oversee the Healthcare Preparedness Program. Part of her role as HPP Manager includes providing strategic planning and direction for the Healthcare Preparedness Program, overseeing the Healthcare Preparedness Coalitions, State Medical Response System and serving as the ESF-8, Disaster Medical Services Lead during emergencies and disasters.

Regional HR Business Partner, Brookdale Senior Living

Meghan is a Regional HR Business Partner in Senior Living with over 25 years of experience supporting leaders and teams across diverse communities.  Throughout her career, she has guided organizations through complex employee-relations challenges, crisis situations, and high pressure decision-making environments.  She is passionate about fostering collaborative workplaces and equipping leaders with practical conflict resolution strategies that strengthen teams during critical moments.

Julie Cook-Walker

Career and Technical Business Educator, NC Public School System

Julie Cook-Walker is an educator with the North Carolina Public School System and brings over 15 years of experience in senior living leadership, dementia care, and organizational development. She has served in leadership roles with Brookdale Senior Living, the Alzheimer’s Association, Affinity Living Group, and Choice Health Management, specializing in operations, dementia programming, human resources, and staff education. Julie is a Licensed Assisted Living Administrator in North Carolina, a Certified Dementia Practitioner Trainer, and Montessori certified. She regularly consults with local communities, providing CEU training focused on improving resident culture, safety, and engagement.
